A man carrying a small wooden coffin and a woman carrying a white cross walk along a wet road beside a long wall

Deniz used to be a painter. Now he has an unfinished book, a bookshop job he hates and a relationship with Emma, a translator, that grows colder by the day. After they bury Emma’s cat together one night, he quits his job to finish writing.

Over the following fortnight, he drinks with a friend who is considering returning to Turkey, runs into a former classmate whose paintings are selling and has his palm read in a bar. Emma is unhappy in London. Both are trying to work out what comes next, but neither knows how to say it.

A drama and black comedy about loneliness, the difficulty of talking and the questions people avoid asking themselves.
