After a crash on a rainy country road, Marta Nowak goes looking for help. At an isolated farmhouse she finds an injured man chained to a chair. Before she can leave, she is taken captive too.
Her captor, Norman, says he is a doctor. He makes tea, cooks breakfast and tells Marta that his prisoner is responsible for his son’s death. She tries to escape, but becomes caught up in his account of what happened and the plan he has made.
Across four episodes, Marta is drawn into cooperating with Norman. By the time the police surround her, the witness has become the suspect.
